A Simple Gift

With the Christmas season nearly upon us, we have an opportunity
now to help impact children around the world with the good news about
the birth of our Savior, Jesus!
Since
its inception in 1993, Operation Christmas Child has reached over 188
million children in over 150 countries with shoebox gifts. Most
importantly, each gift box will contain a carefully written booklet
explaining the true purpose of Christmas. Each gift box is an
opportunity to bring joy and laughter to a needy child while also
presenting them with the ultimate gift – the Savior of the World! In
many cases, these children live in countries where Christianity is not
readily taught.
Here’s what you can do to participate:
1. Choose a shoebox.
2. Choose the gender and age you are buying for: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14.
3. Purchase new items (not used). Toys, stuff animal, clothing, toiletries, playdough, etc.
4. Donate $9.00 (Cash or Check to “The Hill”) to cover shipping.
5. Bring your box to church this Sabbath, November 13!

Imagine
the delight of a child living on the other side of the world who
receives your Christmas gift box and also learns about the gift of baby
Jesus!
And what an
opportunity to teach your own children that it is more blessed to give
than to receive at Christmas. Thanks for making a difference for Jesus
one life at a time this Sabbath!
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given. Isaiah 9:6
Blessings!
