Food Drive!
Author: Pastor Mitch Williams

The annual Pathfinder-sponsored food drive officially kicks off
this Sabbath. Each year we collect food items both from the church and
the community. These food items are later distributed at our Adventist
Community Service Food Pantry.
This Sabbath,
October 9, a paper sack will be given to each church member with
instructions on the kinds of food that can donated. Ideally, donations
are canned foods, dry pasta, cereal, juice, baby food, and gifts of cash
to purchase food. We ask that the food not be expired. Please bring
your sack full of food items back to church within the next two
Sabbaths.
On the following Sabbath, October 16,
our Pathfinders will distribute paper sacks to hundreds of homes here
in Pleasant Hill. Residents of our community have traditionally donated
thousands of food items. On Sabbath afternoon, October 23, the
Pathfinders and the church volunteers will collect all of the bags from
the around the city and bring them back to the church to sort and
organize them for storage for the food pantry.
Thanks in advance for your support and prayers in this community outreach initiative!
